A Blood Donation Camp was organised in D.A.V. Public School, Nerul on 13^th and 14^th November, 2014 under the joint auspices of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha and DAVCMC, New Delhi.  The occasion was graced by the presence of
Prof. Col. Dr. James Thomas, former Vice Chancellor and Principal Adviser and Head of Cardiac Surgery, D.Y. Patil University, School of Medicine, and Dr. Ramdas Unhalekar, Medical Social Worker, Indian Red Cross Society, who were the Chief Guests on 13^th and 14^th November respectively.  The camp was presided over by
Dr. Makarand Kamble, Senior Physician and Diabetologist, on 13^th November and by Dr. Upendra Kinjawadekar, Senior Pediatrician on 14^th November. It was held under the aegis of Indian Red Cross Society, Mumbai, State Blood Transfusion Council and Dr. D. Y Patil University, School of Medicine, Navi Mumbai.

The blood donation camp saw the presence and participation of a large number of parents, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and former students of the school.The Blood Donation Camp succeeded in building up awareness about the condition of the sick and the ailing and gave the participants an opportunity to partake in the cause by donating blood and helping those in need.
