Debate Competition
An Intra School Debate Competition themed 'Agree to Disagree' was held for students of Classes VIII, IX & X. The first round took place on Monday, 24th June 2024, with topics such as:
• Al is a boon
• Social Media creates a disconnect between people
• IQ is more important than EQ for success
• Drug addicts should be helped rather than punished.
In the first round, students presented arguments either for or against assigned topics, demonstrating their ability to analyze, research and articulate effectively. Evaluation criteria included content quality, voice modulation, expression clarity and overall stance and posture.
The final round featured spirited debates between Red House and Yellow House on whether 'Dance Should be Considered as a Sport' and between Blue House and Green House on the topic 'Juveniles Should be Tried and Treated as Adults'.
The event aimed not only to foster academic excellence but also to enhance students' public speaking skills and encouraged healthy discourse.
