Report- Career Guidance

Recent surveys say that 93 percent of Indian students are aware of less than ten career options, mainly the basic ones like engineering, medicine, law, finance, IT, etc. In contrast, there are more than 600 career options available today. Therefore, the awareness levels of all the available career options for a student need to be increased. An institution plays a pivotal role in showing its pupils the right career path. A good career choice will offer an efficient job opportunity and allow the students to adhere to a respectful and satisfactory lifestyle. Moreover, the desired career path engages students making them more confident, informed, and dedicated. Keeping this in mind a career guidance programme was organised for the students of class XII on 23.12.2022 in association with Clever Harvey, an organisation which designs programs for teenagers to explore different career options and build creativity, confidence and business acumen. The facilitators built rapport with the students and engaged the students in an interactive manner and shared knowledge about different hitherto unexplored career domains like branding etc.

This programme helped the students to understand and discover what they like, what they’re good at, and how well their interest match up to different careers.

Mrs. Mukta Baurai, Headmistress, reiterated that D.A.V. Public School, Nerul will always remain committed to the cause of students’ career growth. She thanked Team Clever Harvey for their valuable contribution in this regard.
