ABHINANDAN

 Keeping alive the traditions of excellence, D.A.V. Public School , Nerul held its  annual felicitation ceremony , Abhinandan, on Saturday, 29^th June, 2019 to celebrate the phenomenal achievement of its students in the recently held board examinations. Honourable Member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Shrimati Manda Mhatre, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Honourable Chief Guest, Shrimati Manda Mhatre,, Honourable Regional Director Western Zone, DAV CMC and Principal DAV Public School, Nerul, Shri Jose Kurian and the section co-ordinators.

Nerul DAVians exuded supreme self-confidence and aced AISSCE and AISSE examinations conducted by CBSE and SSC examination conducted by Maharashtra State Board and brought laurels to the institution. With a brilliant school QPI of 84.09% & 83.64% respectively for AISSCE & AISSE, D.AV. Public School, Nerul continued with its proud academic tradition. The success of the students, which was a result of hard work, determination, diligence and perseverance was acknowledged and appreciated by all present.

 The Chief Guest, Shrimati Manda Mhatre, along with Honourable Regional Director Western Zone, DAV CMC and Principal DAV Public School, Nerul, Shri Jose Kurian and the section co-ordinators gave away the medals to the meritorious students and congratulated them on their stellar performance. The audience were treated to cultural programmes in the form of dance medleys and melodious song renditions in brief interludes. The Chief Guest in her address lauded the efforts of the awardees and encouraged them to remain motivated. She also exhorted the girls to explore all the opportunities available to them and be empowered. The Chief Guest was felicitated with a beautiful memento by the Honourable Regional Director Western Zone, DAV CMC and Principal DAV Public School, Nerul, Shri Jose Kurian. In his speech Shri Kurian thanked the Chief Guest for sparing her valuable time for the institution. He reminded the students of the invaluable contribution made by the parents towards their success and urged them not to become complacent and always aspire for higher attainments. He also highlighted on the importance of utilizing their education for the benefit of the society at large and contribute positively to the value creation process. Abhinandan 2019 came to a close with the national anthem.
