Inter-house Quiz Competition

To encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and establish a relationship between theory and application of the learnt concepts, D.A.V. Public School, Nerul organized an inter-house quiz competition for the students of classes XI and XII. The event witnessed enthusiastic preparation and participation and also provided an opportunity for team building. The programme was conceptualized and executed by the students themselves affording them an excellent opportunity to hone their leadership skills. The quiz covered a variety of topics including current affairs, history, science, arts and literature to name a few. In ten thrilling rounds four teams of avid quizzers representing Swami Dayanand House, Pandit Gurudutt House, Mahatma Hansraj House and Swami Virjanand House fiercely defended the honour of their respective Houses. In a nail biting finish team Swami Dayanand emerged as the winners with team Swami Virjanand claiming the second position. Shri Jose Kurian, Regional Director Western Zone, DAV CMC and Principal DAV Public School, Nerul congratulated all the winners and the participants. Addressing the students he emphasized that knowledge is power and urged them to keep the fire ignited in their minds. The programme concluded with the national anthem.
