Rangoli' signifies a creative expression of art by means of colors. In ancient times, beautiful rangoli patterns and designs were made on the entrances of Indian homes for beautifying them and welcoming the guests. The students of D.A.V.Public school Nerul spread a beautiful canvas of myriad of colours to usher in the festival of Deepawali. The students brought alive this a creative expression of art which is an integral part of our culture , in the school premises by making beautiful and colourful patterns with rangoli. The formation of an ideal rangoli art demands the attentive use of vibrant rangoli colors,  the students not only made traditional designs but also conveyed their concern for day to day issues like Swachch Bharat, save the girl child, world peace etc. Freehand use of vivid colored powders was made while making a rangoli in variety of themes. Rangoli is one of the major decorations or embellishments  in the festivals which has not lost their charm even in the modern context. Although rangoli making is a popular art across India, but they are like a tradition in Maharashtra which was reflected in the wonderful creations made by the students. This art form  requires good eye and hand coordination, patience, and concentration which was reflected in the work of the students.Using creative energies and thoughts the students made the festival a memorable one for one and all.
